Detailed Description

The 'View leave balance' use case in Joule was enhanced in September 2025 to support viewing specific types of leave balances. Users can now query Joule for targeted leave information such as 'How many days of annual leave do I have left?' or 'What is my sick leave balance right now?' This enhancement is supported in the time type view but not in the time account view.

Impact Assessment

Organizations using Joule for time management should ensure CDM content is refreshed and users have Access to Joule permission. The enhancement supports the time type view only, so configurations using the time account view will not benefit from this feature. Users gain more targeted and actionable leave balance information through natural language queries.

• Verify Joule is enabled with Access to Joule permission • Refresh CDM content per KBA 3612244 • Test querying specific leave type balance (e.g., annual leave, sick leave) • Verify results are accurate in time type view • Confirm feature is not supported in time account view • Test with multiple leave types to validate all return correct balances
