Detailed Description

The 'Create time off' use case in Joule was enhanced in August 2025 to support creating half-day leave requests. Users can now ask Joule to create time off for specific half-day periods, such as 'I need to take a half-day off tomorrow morning for a dentist appointment' or 'Can I take sick leave for half the day tomorrow morning?' This enhancement improves the flexibility of time off management through Joule.

Impact Assessment

This minor enhancement extends the 'Create time off' use case to support half-day leave requests. Organizations using Joule for time management benefit from more granular leave request creation. Standard Joule enablement and CDM refresh per KBA 3612244 are required. Half-day absence configuration must be properly set up in Employee Central for Joule to process these requests.
