Detailed Description

In Mobile Time Off, clock-time users can now select the first or second half of a day when creating an absence request without having to enter the start time and end times. You then go to the time types for which you want to allow half-day absences and set Requesting With Absence Day Classification to Half-Day Classification Possible. If you only allow full day recording for a time type, the Absence Duration field becomes read-only and shows the Full Day value.

Impact Assessment

This feature may require configuration review, user communication, and regression testing of related processes in Mobile Applications implementations. In Mobile Time Off, clock-time users can now select the first or second half of a day when creating an absence request without having to enter the start time and end times. You then go to the time types for which you want to allow half-day absences and set Requesting With Absence Day Classification to Half-Day Classification Possible. Implementation teams should verify that existing configurations remain valid and test core business scenarios after the upgrade to confirm correct behavior.

Test Recommendations
• Verify the feature is enabled and accessible from the expected navigation path or configuration area in a test environment. • Test the end-to-end scenario with representative test data covering both happy paths and error conditions. • Validate correct behavior across all relevant user roles and permission configurations (admin, manager, employee). • Test edge cases: empty or missing values, boundary conditions, concurrent users, and large data sets. • Confirm that existing integrations, workflows, and downstream processes are not affected by the change. • Validate time-off balances, accrual rules, and calendar calculations remain accurate after the update. • Test on multiple iOS and Android devices across different OS versions and screen sizes.
