Standard in Document Management The old MIME type standard used in SAP SuccessFactors will be replaced with the new Mozilla/IANA MIME type standard on November 14, 2025, with full deprecation and removal planned for November 2026. End of Development was reached on May 16, 2025; End of Maintenance was reached on November 14, 2025; the feature will be permanently deleted on November 18, 2026. You can continue to use the software, but you should begin planning for a time when it will no longer be available for use. A MIME type (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) is a label that tells systems what kind of file they are dealing with, like a PDF, Word document, or image, so it can be handled and displayed correctly.
Impact Assessment
SuccessFactors implementations that use this functionality must take action before the deletion date to avoid business disruption. End of Maintenance was November 14, 2025, meaning SAP no longer provides bug fixes or patches.
