Detailed Description

The Pay Scale Group API will reach End of Maintenance on November 17, 2023 and will be deleted on November 13, 2027. With the 2H 2023 release, SAP introduced a new effective-dated Compensation Structure object to replace the current non-effective-dated Pay Scale Group objects. To view or modify data for existing Pay Scale Group objects, SAP recommends using the UI or data imports instead of the API.

Impact Assessment

Integrations and custom processes that use the Pay Scale Group API to read or write compensation structure data must be updated before November 13, 2027. The new effective-dated Compensation Structure object introduced in 2H 2023 should be used for future enhancements. Until deletion, the existing Pay Scale Group API remains operational but will not receive enhancements or bug fixes. Customers must reconfigure integrations to use the UI or data imports as an interim solution.

• Identify all integrations and processes that use the Pay Scale Group API • Review the new effective-dated Compensation Structure object introduced in 2H 2023 and plan migration • Test that Pay Scale Group data can be viewed and modified via the UI or data imports as an alternative • Validate that any reports or integrations referencing Pay Scale Group data function correctly after migrating to the new Compensation Structure object • Confirm that no API calls to the deprecated Pay Scale Group API remain active before the November 13, 2027 deletion date
