Detailed Description

The data viewing capability in the legacy People Profile is permanently deleted as of May 15, 2026. SAP has redesigned the People Profile experience with a dynamic public view, a Full Profile consolidating all employee data, and enhanced user interactions, generally available since the 1H 2024 release. The legacy People Profile is being deprecated in phases — data viewing is the first phase, with editing, history, and actions to follow in subsequent releases.

Impact Assessment

All users currently viewing employee profile data via the legacy People Profile must transition to the new People Profile experience. Several legacy features are explicitly not supported in the new experience: the Notes block, Overview block, Finish Your Profile to-do task, People Picker (replaced by Global Header search), and Simple Address Format of Employee Central. Customer-specific profile configurations and role-based permission settings must be reviewed and updated for compatibility with the new experience.

• Verify that the legacy People Profile data viewing is no longer accessible after May 15, 2026 • Confirm that the new People Profile experience (Full Profile and dynamic public view) is correctly configured and accessible • Validate that role-based permissions are correctly set up for the new People Profile experience • Test that the Notes block functionality has been replaced by Continuous Feedback in Continuous Performance Management • Confirm that the Global Header search replaces the People Picker for finding employees • Verify that Story Reports referencing Profile Completion data are updated or decommissioned • Test all custom profile configurations in the new People Profile experience to ensure correct display of employee data
