Basic Authentication for point-to-point Employee Central Payroll replication is being deprecated to ensure more secure authentication methods. The feature reached end of maintenance on June 2, 2023 and will be completely deleted on November 20, 2026. Organizations are encouraged to adopt more secure authentication methods such as certificate authentication as an alternative.

Impact Assessment

This deprecation requires organizations using Basic Authentication for point-to-point Employee Central Payroll replication to migrate to alternative authentication methods before November 20, 2026. After the end of maintenance date (June 2, 2023), SAP no longer fixes bugs or delivers patches for this authentication method.
