Deprecation of User Login using Employment Username
Description
We're deprecating basic authentication user login using SuccessFactors employment username and password by May 15, 2026. We request that all customers still using basic authentication to migrate to Identity Authentication in SAP Cloud Identity Services for authentication instead since basic authentication will be deprecated by November 13, 2026. For those customers that continue to use basic authentication before Nov 13, 2026 and are still using employment username login, we request that these customers migrate to use account login name for login.See More
Detailed Description
SAP is deprecating basic authentication user login using SuccessFactors employment username and password by May 15, 2026. Customers must migrate to Identity Authentication in SAP Cloud Identity Services for authentication, or continue using basic authentication with account login name until November 13, 2026. New hires and external learners can only log in through Identity Authentication in SAP Cloud Identity Services.
Impact Assessment
This deprecation requires all customers using basic authentication with employment usernames to plan migration to Identity Authentication in SAP Cloud Identity Services. Users with multiple employments will no longer be able to log in using all their employment usernames and passwords. Organizations must update their authentication strategy and user login procedures before the May 15, 2026 deletion date to avoid service disruption.
