Detailed Description

The Accrual Recalculation Posting Method Classic will reach End of Development in December 2025 and will be deleted in May 2026. All Time Account Types will be migrated to the No Recalculation Postings method, which offers advantages including less data volume, automatic cleanup of duplicate accruals, and consideration of date changes during recalculation. A validation check was added in the 1H 2023 release to block saving a Time Account Type with the Classic method.

Impact Assessment

Organizations using the Classic accrual posting method must plan migration to No Recalculation Postings before May 2026 when the feature will be deleted and no longer available for productive use. After End of Maintenance in May 2026, SAP will no longer fix bugs or deliver patches for the Classic method. The migration will affect all Time Account Types in the system and requires adoption of an alternative method for business scenarios currently using Classic.

Test Recommendations
• Validate that Time Account Types are successfully migrated to No Recalculation Postings method • Verify that duplicate accrual postings are automatically cleaned up after migration • Test that date changes during recalculation are properly considered in the new method • Confirm that the validation check prevents saving Time Account Types with Classic method • Review data volume reduction after migration to No Recalculation Postings
