Detailed Description

This feature upgrades users with employment-based logins to account-based logins for a consistent login experience. When enabled, all users must use their login names to access SAP SuccessFactors. Users who previously didn't use a login name are guided through a standard reset password process and must subsequently log in using their login name and password. The enhancement ensures smooth integration with SAP Identity Authentication (IAS), which supports only account-based logins.

Impact Assessment

This feature impacts instances using PWD login method with employment-based logins, requiring users to transition from employment-based to account-based login credentials. Users who have been using fallback logic will see a set account password dialog and must reset their passwords before accessing the system. Organizations using email notifications will have users receive notifications with their new login names. The feature is enabled by default, but administrators can disable it if needed.

Test Recommendations
• Verify that the 'Enforce user account upgrade for consistent login experience' option is visible in Admin Center > Company System and Logo Settings for instances using PWD login method with employment-based logins • Test that users with employment-based logins are prompted with a set account password dialog box • Confirm that after password reset, users can successfully log in using their login name and new password • Verify that email notifications with new login names are sent to users when email notifications are enabled • Test that users logging in with passwords on mobile devices are not impacted • Confirm that the feature can be disabled if needed by administrators
