A validation has been introduced on employees' date of birth to ensure the entered date is in the past. This validation works on the Add New Employee page and the People Profile page, but does not apply to imports or APIs. On Add New Employee, the validation is triggered when you submit changes, while on People Profile, it is triggered only when you save changes. An error message will prompt users to enter a past date if a current or future date is entered.
Impact Assessment
This change helps minimize errors when updating employees' date of birth data by enforcing validation rules. The validation does not apply to imports or APIs, and does not occur when saving a draft for the Hire scenario, limiting the scope of impact. This is a minor enhancement that affects manual data entry on specific pages within Employee Central.
