Detailed Description

A new standard element called 'company' has been introduced to represent the legal entity associated with a user. For Employee Central customers, the field value is synchronized from the Legal Entity object based on hard-coded mapping. For non-Employee Central customers, the field can be updated through Manage Users, Employee Import admin tools, or User OData API. The field can be included in Story reports and Table reports for data analysis.

Impact Assessment

This enhancement improves data versatility by introducing a new standard element that represents the legal entity associated with users. Employee Central customers must run the Synchronize Business Configuration job and enable the element in Manage Business Configuration to make it configurable. The feature requires specific role-based permissions and configuration steps, including triggering an initial sync from the Legal Entity object to the company field for all users.
