The SAP SuccessFactors Mobile apps for iOS and Android now support authentication using BTP Mobile Services, which is a prerequisite for using Joule in the app. When updated to the May 2025 release, users will be deactivated and must reactivate using BTP Mobile Services. The mobile app password creation screen will change, multi-profile mode will no longer be supported, and the app can only be activated for one SAP SuccessFactors user account at a time.
Impact Assessment
This change affects systems using BTP Mobile Services for authentication and requires users to reactivate and authenticate using the new method upon first launch of the May 2025 release. All locally stored information, including offline learning progress, will be deleted during deactivation. Multi-profile mode removal means users can no longer activate the app for multiple profiles simultaneously, and IP restrictions and password history policies may not be enforced depending on platform and configuration.
