Detailed Description

Note The change-reason and change-reason-external fields were used in an older version of Employee Central and are no longer used for any purpose. These fields have nothing to do with the event-reason field, which is not impacted by this deprecation. Just as we add new fields for new features when required, we also ensure that we remove fields that no longer serve their purpose well enough, for example, if a feature is deprecated or replaced.

This deprecation directly affects SAP SuccessFactors implementations that rely on the functionality being retired. Customers must plan and complete migration before May 15, 2026 to avoid service disruption. should begin planning for a time when it will no longer be available for use. Failure to act before the deletion date will result in loss of functionality, requiring immediate corrective action post-deletion.
