Assignment owners and co-owners can now edit the start date of assignment applications even after the assignment has started. When updating to a past date: the application status changes from 'offer accepted' to 'ongoing' (or remains 'ongoing'), and the assignment status changes from 'published' to 'ongoing' only if the updated application status changes from 'offer accepted' to 'ongoing'. When updating to a future date: the application status reverts to 'offer accepted', relevant stakeholders are notified, and if the updated application was the only ongoing one, the assignment status reverts from 'ongoing' to 'published'. This reduces administrative overhead by avoiding cancellation and rehire workflows.
