Detailed Description

Workflows in Metadata Framework (MDF) now use a prioritized approach to determine the workflow subject user, ensuring correct user context for both user-based and non-user-based entities. The system now determines the workflow subject user in the following order: If the Workflow Subject User Field is defined and has a value, that value is used. If the Workflow Subject User Field is empty, the system checks for a value in the Legislatively Sensitive Data Configuration (LSPD) configuration and uses it if available.

Impact Assessment

This enhancement is automatically on and directly affects all SAP SuccessFactors implementations without requiring any configuration. Implementation teams should validate that the new behavior aligns with business requirements and communicate the change to end users if necessary.

Test Recommendations
• Test existing workflows and business rules to confirm they trigger correctly with the new behavior. • Test role-based permissions for affected roles to ensure correct data access after the change. • Validate that no unintended data exposure occurs with the new permission settings.
