Detailed Description

SAP is deprecating the picklist-based configuration for the Pay Scale Type and Pay Scale Area fields in Job Information, with deletion scheduled for November 12, 2027. The recommendation is to migrate these fields from picklists to MDF (Metadata Framework) objects, which already exist as standard objects. End of Maintenance was reached on November 17, 2023, meaning no bug fixes are being provided for the picklist-based approach.

Impact Assessment

SuccessFactors EC implementations that use picklists for Pay Scale Type and Pay Scale Area in Job Information must plan and execute a migration to MDF-based objects before November 12, 2027. Failure to migrate will cause the picklist-based fields to stop working. Implementations that have not assigned picklists to these fields or that already use Manage Data values are not impacted. A self-service scheduled job is available in Admin Center to facilitate this migration.
