Detailed Description

SAP is deprecating insurance-related fields in the InsuranceBenefitPlan object, including insuredAmount, benefitCoverageType, coverageAmountEmployee, coverageAmountEmployer, coverageMultiplierEmployee, coverageMultiplierEmployer, coverageType, insuredAmountType, and premiumFrequency, with deletion on May 14, 2027. These fields have been moved to new objects InsuranceBenefitPlanCoverage and InsuranceBenefitPlanCoverageGroup to enable more flexible and extensible benefit management. Story reports, APIs, Business Rules, and Integrations referencing deprecated fields will stop working after deletion.

Impact Assessment

SuccessFactors EC implementations with Global Benefits using insurance plans must migrate all Story reports, APIs, Business Rules, and Integrations from the deprecated InsuranceBenefitPlan fields to the new InsuranceBenefitPlanCoverage and InsuranceBenefitPlanCoverageGroup objects. This is a significant change requiring audit of all integration touchpoints and reporting artifacts. The migration must be completed before May 14, 2027 to prevent system failures in insurance benefits processing.
