Detailed Description

You can now use role-based permissions to control whether users who can nominate successors or view talent pool nominees are allowed to access the history of successor or talent pool nominations. Under User Permissions Succession Planners, we separated the permission to view nomination history from the Succession Planning Permission and View Talent Pool Nominations permissions and added the following as child permissions: View Nomination History: Allows users who can nominate successors to also be able to view the nomination history on the position card, Succession talent card, and in the People Profile. View Talent Pool Nomination History: Allows users who can view talent pool nominees to also be able to view the nomination history in the talent pool details page and the People Profile.

Impact Assessment

This feature has limited impact but should be reviewed to confirm alignment with business processes in Succession Planning implementations. Implementation teams should verify that existing configurations remain valid and test core business scenarios after the upgrade to confirm correct behavior.

Test Recommendations
• Verify the feature is enabled and accessible from the expected navigation path or configuration area in a test environment. • Test the end-to-end scenario with representative test data covering both happy paths and error conditions. • Validate correct behavior across all relevant user roles and permission configurations (admin, manager, employee). • Test edge cases: empty or missing values, boundary conditions, concurrent users, and large data sets. • Confirm that existing integrations, workflows, and downstream processes are not affected by the change. • Test integration endpoints and API calls for correct data exchange, authentication, and error handling. • Test feature visibility and access controls across different RBP roles to confirm correct enforcement. • Validate People Profile display and data accuracy across multiple employee records.
