Enhancements in Hire, Rehire, Termination, Global Assignment, and Concurrent Employment Enhancement Description Additional Information Hiring Fixed-Term Employees into Positions with Future Inactive Dates or Future Employee Assignments In Add New Employee for Fixed Term, the system now allows hiring an employee on a fixed-term contract under these conditions: The selected position is active for the entire duration of the employment. Example You can hire an employee on a fixed-term contract with the hire date on January 1 and the termination date on September 30 for a position that started on January 1 and will transition to the Inactive status effective October 1. You can hire an employee on a fixed-term contract into a position for the period from August 1 to December 31.
